Summer Is Coming And There’s Lots To Do At Lulworth And Durdle Door

So What’s To Do At Lulworth And Durdle Door In The Summer Of 2018?

The events at the Lulworth Estate for this year are as plentiful as ever, with something to please all ages. Here are just a handful of them and, all only 25 minutes away from Tolpuddle Cottage.

As you may know, Lulworth Estate which incorporates Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove is a beautiful place to visit and this years events shows them at their best.

Lulworth has a whole host of events on over the summer to keep everyone entertained.

Fossil Sessions

Taking place from the visitors centre at Lulworth, children can take home their own polished ammonite slices and a casting fossil.

Sessions run for about 45 minutes and cost £4.00 per person.

These run every Monday from 25th June until 20th August. More details here.

Butterfly Walk

Lulworth is a great place to see many varieties of butterflies. These enchanting walks will show you many of them and their habitats.

These walks will take place at 11am on these dates: 13th June, 11th July, 6th August, 16th August & 30th August

Durdle Door Circular Family Stroll

Once again there is a chance to take part in these great walks that take place every Tuesday at 11am from 26th June until 28th August. They take about an hour and a half, running at a gentle pace and are great for the whole family.

The price for this walk is £4.00 for over 16’s and £2 for under 16’s

Smugglers Walk

If you would like a good two hour walk with some history thrown in, this is for you.

You will hear tails of times gone by, secret hideouts used by smugglers and battles that were fought between them and the customs men.

These walks take place on the following dates at 11am: 2nd August, 8th August, 15th August, 22nd August, 29th August and 13th September.

Prices are £5.00 for over 16’s and £2.50 for under 16’s.
