Downstairs

Here we have briefly outlined some Tolpuddle Cottage details.

Your stay here will be a comfortable one and will feel like a home away from home.

Much of the downstairs is open plan, with the lounge, kitchen and dining area all flowing from one to another, which adds to the experience of that ‘time together’.

The kitchen is well equipped, comprising of a coffee machine, juicer, kettle, microwave, fridge freezer, cooker with hob, dish washer and washer dryer. There is also a good range of pots and pans, plates, bowls, mugs and glasses, so everything you need is catered for.

The dining area has a large table with three chairs and a bench, which can comfortably seat six people.

The lounge is somewhere that you can really chill out. There are two, three seater light brown leather sofas and a matching foot stall.

There is also a large flat screen LCD smart TV, with Freeview and Netflix. Along with this is a Blu Ray player and a selection of movies, but you can of course bring your own to watch.

In the colder months, or chilly evenings, you might wish to switch on the flame effect fire, which will flicker and give out some heat and keep you cosy.

W/C. For your convenience, the entrance hall leads to a downstairs toilet.

The entrance hall is welcoming, which leads to the stairs and has a cupboard for coats and shoes.

Upstairs

The master bedroom is furnished with a king sized bed, bedside tables, dressing table and a large chest of drawers.

This bedroom also has an en suite shower room. 

Bedroom two is an adaptable room, where you have the choice of two single beds, or joined together to make a super king sized bed (depending on your needs and number of guests). This room also has two bedside tables with lamps and a  double wardrobe with drawers.

Bedroom three has a truckle bed, which can be used as a single or a double. In this room there is also a large wardrobe (half of which is used by the owners), but leaving a very generous proportion for the guests, with hangers and drawers.

The family bathroom serves two of of the bedrooms and is a good size.

Outside

The garden, to the rear of the cottage is paved and on two levels, with the upper part having a patio area for outdoor table, chairs and parasol (for warmer months only)

Please note, barbecues are not permitted, due to insurance restrictions   

Parking. There is ample parking for two cars, one at the front of the property and one in front of the garage.

Garage access is allowed for your use upon request, so that you can store bikes, kayaks, or other equipment in there as you wish. If you would like use of the garage at no extra charge, please let Classic Cottages know at time of booking and a key will be left for you on your arrival.

Towels & Linen

We maintain a very high standard at Tolpuddle Cottage, meaning that each time new guests arrive, fresh, clean towels and linen are put into each bedroom.

Each guest is provided with one bath sheet, a hand towel and a face flannel.
